Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services, ensure quality care, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. You will oversee RAI, MDS coordination, care planning, and staffing while partnering with administration to optimize operations.

The ideal candidate is a Minnesota-licensed RN with experience in rehabilitation or geriatric nursing, strong leadership, and a commitment to resident rights and safety in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in Minnesota with training in rehabilitation, gerontology, nursing administration, management, supervision, or psychiatric/geriatric nursing—either before or within 12 months of appointment as Director of Nursing Services.
• Must pass a criminal background check as required by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain nursing service objectives, standards of practice, and care delivery systems.
• Oversee RAI process, MDS coordination, care planning, and delivery of resident care.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, referrals, and interdisciplinary care planning with facility departments and external providers.
• Manage staffing and scheduling within budget guidelines and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture and uphold resident rights and confidentiality.
