Job summary

BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital – National Harborside in Washington, DC seeks Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide direct and indirect patient care in a medically complex setting. This role emphasizes compassionate care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team to support patient recovery.

You’ll plan and implement nursing care plans, communicate changes in condition to physicians and staff, and participate in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing program.
• Current DC RN license; BLS & ACLS required.
• Minimum one year of recent nursing experience; Ventilator, Telemetry, and ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Develop and coordinate the nursing care plan with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff; communicate changes in clinical condition with physicians and staff.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.
