Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking an ASAP Registered Nurse 2 for the Supplemental Tier C, 7a-7p, part-time. Under general supervision, you will provide direct patient care in a dynamic hospital setting, following the nursing process from assessment to teaching.

Required are an Associate Degree in Nursing, Maryland RN license, BLS, and 2 years of RN experience in the specialty or LPN with director approval; specialty certifications (ALS, PALS, NRPs) may be required on hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Two years RN experience in the specialty area or LPN with director approval.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• BLS certification from an AHA site.
• Specialty certifications (ALS, PALS, or NRP) required on hire for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and formulate nursing diagnoses.
• Develop and update the written plan of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate with patient, family and healthcare team for care planning.
• Teach and discharge planning; participate in quality improvement.
