Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan Ellis KS Center provides individualized nursing care using the full nursing process—from assessment to evaluation—working with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

The RN may serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safe care and adherence to state practice rules and the ANA Code of Ethics as the foundation for professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board; may hold multistate licensure if in an NLC state.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Collaborate with residents, families and an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
