Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and coordinate patient care across teams.

You will educate patients and families, document care, uphold infection control, and participate in performance improvement with emphasis on compassionate care and teamwork. Requires RN license and BLS; acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Registered Nurse).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Acute/critical care experience preferred depending on unit.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speech.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, and social factors of patients.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans based on standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure safety.
• Document care activities and patient outcomes accurately.
• Maintain infection control and safety, participate in performance improvement.
• Provide emotional support and supervise care team members when needed.
• Respond to code situations and stabilize patients as required.
