Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process, in a busy inpatient setting.

The role requires current MA RN licensure, BLS (ACLS preferred), and the ability to coordinate discharge planning, document care, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS preferred if current.
• BSN degree highly preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for direct patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates plans of care including discharge planning.
• Supervises and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedures.
• Collaborates with other health care providers to ensure quality care.
