Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, from admission through discharge, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate individualized care plans, administer treatments, and document care while collaborating with physicians and the health care team. The role emphasizes ongoing education and quality improvement within a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Requires MA licensure/registration for RN role.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification current preferred for some units.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process to plan, deliver, and manage patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individualized care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and coordinates nursing care within the assigned setting and supervises staff.
• Documents care consistently and accurately per policy.
• Participates in education, governance, and quality-improvement initiatives.
