Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for day shifts in Kirkwood, Missouri, to provide high-quality, resident-centered care and supervise clinical staff in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

This full-time role features 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and opportunities for growth in post-acute care, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental & vision insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification.
• Experience or specialization in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care according to physician orders and individualized care plans.
• Assess residents and identify changes in condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered.
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs.
• Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Provide resident and family education.
• Ensure infection prevention and infection control standards.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and resident-focused environment.
• Respond quickly to resident needs and emergencies.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, resident-centered nursing care while supervising clinical staff and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. This role is responsible for assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, coordinating care, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and promptly identify changes in condition

• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered

• Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges

• Provide resident and family education

• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and infection control standards

• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
