Job summary

Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for night shift to provide compassionate nursing care to residents. You will work with RNs, CNAs, physicians, and the care team to ensure safety, comfort, and well‑being, on a 12-hour night schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM.

• Missouri LPN license in good standing.
• BLS/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the RN or physician.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide resident and family education as appropriate.
• Follow infection prevention and infection control policies and procedures.
• Support QAPI initiatives.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to CNAs.
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and resident-centered environment.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, and state and federal regulations. Working alongside Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team, the LPN plays a vital role in promoting resident comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, or post-acute care experience preferred
• Strong clinical and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care
