Job summary

Reading Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for Full-Time/Part-Time day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am). General nurses are welcome to apply for full-time openings and join a 697-bed teaching hospital with multiple medical units.

The RN role includes evaluating patients, planning and implementing care, administering medications, and teaching patients and families to manage conditions and self-care. Training and collaborative teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Delivers excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
