Job summary

Reading Hospital in Reading, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time day shifts (7:00 am–7:30 pm). GNs are welcome to apply.

The RN will evaluate patients, plan, implement and document nursing care, delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population with complex concerns. The role also involves performing patient tests, administering medications, promoting independence through patient and family teaching, and relying on experience to meet goals within a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Delivers excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
