Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The role delivers critical care to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgery or facing acute decompensation in a high-acuity ICU.

Required: RN license in the state of practice, BLS and ACLS. Preferred: 1–2 years in ICU or cardiovascular nursing; CCRN certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum 1-2 years ICU or cardiovascular nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS and ACLS are required; CCRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients recovering from cardiac surgery, including chest tubes, drains, and pacing wires.
• Perform continuous hemodynamic monitoring and titrate vasoactive/inotropic meds.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and assist with weaning protocols.
• Recognize and respond to signs of tamponade, arrhythmia, or hemodynamic instability.
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and other teams on the postoperative plan of care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient response in the medical record.

Education & Experience

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required)
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (Preferred)

Key Responsibilities
