Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is hiring an RN for a CVICU unit in California on a 13-week assignment with 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) and a 1:1–2 patient ratio. Requirements include a nursing license, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and at least 2 years in ICU.

Recent open-heart surgery experience and ability to float to other units are needed. There is a proctored dysrhythmia test onsite on the first day, and scheduling is reviewed by management.

Description:Telemetry, Labor and Delivery, Emergency, and Critical Care Registered Nurses will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite on the first day.This is a PASS/FAIL test.The unit has a capacity of 30 beds.The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 1-2, with 90% of the time being a 1 to 2 ratio.Charge nurses do not take a patient assignment.There are no nurse aides available on the unit.Weekend requirement is every other weekend.No holiday requirement at this time, but holidays may be required.Scrub color is navy.Telemetry monitors are used in the unit.Patients may require ventilation support.A hospitalist is available 24/7 in-house.An IV Team is not available.Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7.Pharmacy services are available 24/7.Shifts run from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.Schedules are made out about 6 weeks in advance with self-scheduling.However, the schedule is not finalized until reviewed by management.Floating to any telemetry or med-surg units is required.There will be one day of unit-specific orientation.Candidates must have experience with fresh open heart procedures.This experience must be recent.Candidates should also have experience with mixed ICU patients.Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.Charting will be done using the Cerner system.A BSN is not required.
