Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) unit assignment in Indiana. The 13-week contract requires a current Indiana (or compact) RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and at least 2 years in a CVICU setting.

Responsibilities include caring for post-operative cardiac patients with 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios on the ICU side, potential float to similar units, and adherence to EPIC charting and Pyxis medication management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Cardiovascular ICU setting.
• Current RN license in Indiana or compact.
• BLS (AHA only).
• ACLS (AHA only).
• Open-heart recovery experience preferred.
• EPIC charting and Pyxis medication management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for post-surgical cardiovascular ICU patients.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU; 1:3 or 1:4 on step-down side.
• Floating to like units may be required.
• Attend mandatory training days and use EPIC/Pyxis systems.

Description:Seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care unit.The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular ICU setting.Candidates must hold a current RN license in Indiana or a compact state.BLS and ACLS certifications from the AHA are mandatory.Open-heart recovery experience is preferred.The unit comprises a mixed acuity setting with a focus on distinct skill sets between ICU and progressive levels of care.ICU nurses will provide care for patients immediately following surgery.Patients will remain in this unit throughout their cardiovascular stay.The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 on the ICU side and 1:3 or 1:4 on the step-down side.Floating to like units may be required as needed.The dress code is Caribbean blue scrubs.Candidates must be committed to mandatory attendance for all scheduled training days.The facility utilizes EPIC charting and Pyxis for medication management.
