Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time role with day and night shifts, providing intermediate-acuity care as patients transition from critical care to Med/Surg.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• BSN preferred.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN or other Stepdown certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for intermediate-acuity patients moving from critical care to Med/Surg.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices.
• Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reporting to maintain patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Administer medications, monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post‑ICU), support recovery.
• Participate in huddles, shared governance, and unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
