Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid RN license.

Responsibilities

• Review and communicate with CNAs and PCAs about day-to-day tasks.
• Provide medications by mouth, injections, and other orders as directed.
• Perform wound care to improve skin integrity.
• Document shift activities and care plans for continuity of care.
• Communicate with residents' families about orders and changes in condition.
• Support center surveys and inspections with strong performance.
• Assist in planning nursing services for discharge plans.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as needed.
• Complete incident reports when necessary.
• Document care in Point Click Care with clear notes on resident responses.
• Receive telephone orders from physicians on duty.
• Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Ensure narcotics handling complies with regulations.
• Participate in performance evaluations and staffing decisions.
• Develop work assignments for the team.
• Make rounds to ensure resident safety is a top priority.
• Meet with nursing staff to improve services.
• Administer procedures such as catheterizations, dressings, tube feedings, and drainage bags.
• Attend in-service programs and participate in ongoing continuing education.
