Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Community Living Center to provide direct patient care and coordinate the care continuum.

The role emphasizes education, self-management, and patient satisfaction within a team-based environment. The RN will oversee nursing staff, engage in education, competencies, and quality initiatives, and contribute to evidence-based practice while supporting safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• English proficiency for patient care and documentation.
• Current registered nurse license in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
• Provide competent, evidence-based nursing care to assigned residents.
• Oversee licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting.
• Direct nursing education, orientation, competencies and quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve holistic care and patient outcomes.
• Participate in activities to sustain evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
