Job summary

UPMC Shadyside seeks a full-time Clinician to join its Resource Pool unit. This RN leader will oversee staff performance, conduct evaluations, and lead staff education and clinical initiatives. The role supports nursing staff across Medical-Surgical/telemetry and ICUs with flexible coverage.

The position requires a 40-hour week with 12-hour rotating shifts and weekends. A $20,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits accompany opportunities for growth within UPMC.

Qualifications

• Experience leading nursing staff.
• Ability to conduct staff education and training.
• Experience with interviewing, onboarding, and evaluating team members.
• Strong collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to nursing staff.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and evaluating team members.
• Mentor new nurses, students, interns, and preceptors.
• Support staff education, orientation, and professional development.
• Promote evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Lead change initiatives and support staff through transitions.
• Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert.
• Participate in shared governance and leadership activities.
• Deliver direct patient care as needed.
