Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking an experienced nurse for the Clinician role on the Rapid Response Team. This position offers leadership in clinical practice, mentoring, and contributing to quality improvement across the campus.

The RRT responds to critical events and leads bedside care with advanced nursing knowledge; three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating days and nights and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of recent critical care experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• CCRN preferred at time of hire; if not certified, must be completed within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Leads clinical nursing practice and guides staff through transitions.
• Engages in participatory leadership and shared governance.
• Oversees quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and onboarding.
• Applies Relationship-Based Care to meet patient and family needs.
• Communicates effectively, advocating for patient care improvements.
