Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking an Assistant Manager, Clinical Services (RN) to oversee clinical operations and nursing staff in a dynamic orthopedic outpatient setting. The role emphasizes staff management, onboarding, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

The position demands a NY RN license, BSN, and a Master’s degree or active enrollment, with ANCC certification preferred. The base pay ranges from $110,000 to $167,500, with additional benefits; regular full-time, day shift.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY RN license and registration.
• BSN required with Master’s degree or current enrollment.
• ANCC board certification required.
• BLS through AHA.
• Epic clinical workflows experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clinical (80%): Support physician visits and other clinical activities.
• Room patients, review medical history, obtain data.
• Assist with procedures (suturing, casts, EKG, venipuncture, injections).
• Improve patient throughput.
• Administrative (20%): Support Manager in nursing staff management, scheduling, and allocations.
• Onboard and train new providers and staff.
• Ensure compliant and competent nursing practice on site.
• Monitor supply par levels and expiration dates.
