Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa seeks a Registered Nurse with experience in healthcare risk management and patient safety to support regulatory compliance and adverse event reporting. You will manage event reporting systems, investigate sentinel events, and partner with leadership to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role is full-time, day shift, at 7171 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL. Requirements include an RN license, 2+ years in risk management, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in health care risk management which includes claims management/litigation prevention.
• 3+ years clinical experience in healthcare related field.
• Experience in process improvement/patient safety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assists in regulatory surveys and legal investigations, including patient complaint surveys and compliance with CMS reporting requirements.
• Manages the internal event report system, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and timely reporting of adverse events.
• Reviews reported events for data completeness and accuracy, initiating follow-up with appropriate Directors and Managers within three days.
• Identifies, investigates, and reports on Sentinel Events/Never Events, facilitating Root Cause Analyses.
