Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville, SC seeks an experienced Chief Administrative Officer to provide leadership in Nursing Administration-PMH in the absence of senior staff.

You will coordinate with nursing leadership and hospital departments to solve issues, coach staff, manage incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role reports to the appropriate Nursing Leadership and supports patient care operations.

Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Experience - Three (3) years of Nursing experience. Five (5) years of Nursing experience preferred.
• In lieu of the BSN requirement, a nursing diploma or an Associate’s Degree in Nursing may be considered with agreement to enroll in BSN/MSN within four years.
• Holds a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state where working.

Responsibilities

• Minitates rounds on all units to support nursing and coach Charge Nurses and staff RN’s.
• Interfaces with departments to solve problems in absence of Administration or management.
• Responds to patient/family and physician complaints and documents incidents for appropriate follow-up.
• Serves as Planning Chief and temporary Incident Commander during disasters and coordinates with leadership on bed management/diversion.
• Collaborates with Security, Plant Operations, Risk Management and Public Relations to handle safety, facility issues and media inquiries.
