Job summary

The Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH, is seeking a nurse leader to manage the interventional radiology department and its clinical nursing staff. About the Job:

As a member of the clinical nursing leadership team and in collaboration with other clinical and diagnostic managers. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the clinical nursing, interventional radiology and support staff in the interventional radiology department. This leader is accountable for the delivery of high-quality patient care in a work environment conducive to learning, professional growth, accountability and autonomy.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Management

• Ensure department functioning in accordance with regulatory agencies, state statutes, and practice standards, i.e., DNV, TJC, CMS, HIPAA and ACR
• Promote use of evidence-based clinical practice
• Collaborate with Nursing Leadership as needed to develop, implement, and monitor departmental educational programs

Operations Management

• Foster participation in the development and implementation of annual departmental goals and objectives, which are consistent with those of Elliot Health System and in collaboration with organizational leadership, Directors, Managers, Supervisors and other members of the health care team
• Participate and/or support in the development of business and marketing plans

Human Resources Management

• In conjunction with Human Resources Department, interviews and selects candidates for employment. Initiates and approves personnel activities including, but not limited to hiring, transferring, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and terminating, with the support of the Director as needed
• Consistent with the principles of TeamSTEPPS, fosters positive interdisciplinary communications and teamwork. In collaboration with leadership, establishes and communicates performance expectations and assist with development of professional goals of each staff member. Monitors and evaluates staff performance. Conducts timely in-the moment coaching and annual performance evaluations.

Who You Are:

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program, Required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree in nursing, Required
• Current registration in the State of New Hampshire as a Registered Nurse, Required
• Life support authorization (BLS) required within six (6) months of hire
• Professional Specialty Certification required within six (6) months of hire
• A minimum of three (3) years of recent clinical experience, Required
