Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of RN acute care experience required.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience within the clinical area of responsibility required.
• Minimum of one year of leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, compassionate patient- and family-centered nursing care using the nursing process and teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/procedure schedules to optimize staffing, materials, and fiscal resources.
• Develop, implement, and monitor standards of practice for patient care.
• Support management with annual operating and capital budget input.
• Assign nursing personnel daily and ensure adequate coverage with other Coordinators.
• Coordinate orientation and learning plans for team members.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient care reviews.
• Demonstrate leadership in implementing and maintaining the team model.
• Maintain professional rapport with Medical Staff and Department leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
