Qualifications

• BSN required.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• RN license with state board.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Quality Management and Clinical Director – RN as assigned.
• Consults with other Clinical Educators and nurses to assure appropriate education and follow-up.
• Develops and coordinates clinical education and competency evaluations for patient care staff.
• Establishes and promotes Quality Improvement principles to achieve high quality care.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and reports outcomes.
• Implements care plans in alignment with safety and department standards.
• Pursues knowledge and skills through orientation and ongoing learning.
• Develops plans to attain measurable outcomes.
• Establishes effective working relationships with health care team.
• Responds to requests from administration to improve clinical services.
• Develops, implements and evaluates departmental policies and standards.
