Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health at Home is seeking an experienced RN Educator to lead orientation and competency development for hospice clinical staff. You will coach staff, conduct onsite and home-visit training, and partner with Epic to ensure training aligns with best practices.

BSN required, MSN preferred, with MA RN licensure and BLS. 3–5 years hospice experience and 1–2 years in clinical education are ideal.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN required, MSN preferred.
• RN licensure with current MA license and BLS.
• 3-5 years hospice experience with at least 1 year as hospice case manager.
• 1-2 years as clinical educator or similar role preferred.
• 1-2 years of Epic Remote Client experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees orientation for newly hired staff.
• Assesses competency level of incoming staff and creates individualized plans.
• Supports preceptors and managers in hospice transition.
• Coaches and evaluates clinical thinking and provides feedback.
• Conducts onsite training and during patient home visits.
• Completes joint visits and develops ongoing skill development.
• Develops and presents education programs to diverse audiences using adult learning principles.
• Ensures annual competencies are completed.
• Collaborates with Epic instructional design to align training with clinical practices.
