Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks a Registered Nurse with Clinical Documentation experience to join our CDI program. This role focuses on concurrent review of inpatient medical records to improve physician documentation.

Requirements include an active Texas RN license, a BSN (or MSN), and at least five years of acute care bedside experience; ICU experience preferred. The CDI process involves collaboration with physicians and care teams to ensure accurate coding and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing required.
• Current State of Texas license or eligible to practice.
• Five (5) years of inpatient acute care bedside nursing experience; ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and care team to facilitate complete medical documentation.
• Utilize clinical documentation system to identify opportunities for improved coding.
• Educate internal customers on compliance, coding and documentation issues.
• Ensure safe, high-quality patient care within budget and policy requirements.
• Participate in service line meetings and physician education activities.
