Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) role. The position requires hospital nursing experience in adult medical/surgical populations, with ICU or PACU experience preferred.

A BSN and at least five years of nursing practice are required, with on-site work three days per week. The CDI role focuses on improving documentation accuracy, communicating with the care team, and educating physicians about coding and documentation

Formación

• Hospital nursing experience in adult medical/surgical patients.
• ICU or PACU experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience with BSN.
• Will not accept obstetrics, NICU, or psych nursing backgrounds.
• On-site work required three days per week.

Responsabilidades

• Perform chart reviews to improve clinical documentation based on standards and regulations.
• Communicate with care teams to ensure complete documentation in the medical record.
• Identify principal diagnosis and complications to reflect acuity and risk of mortality.
• Provide daily clinical evaluation of medical records and treatment plans.
• Educate physicians and staff on documentation opportunities and coding implications.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous education related to clinical documentation.
