Qualifications

• At least one year med/surg experience as a RN.
• BLS required.
• BSN preferred; commitment to acquiring BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and/or the situation.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses or relevant issues.
• Identifies expected outcomes for an individualized plan.
• Develops a plan prescribing strategies and alternatives to attain outcomes.
• Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery; safely administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Provides or delegates nursing interventions in response to diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the health care team.
• Continuously evaluates progress and revises the care plan as needed.
• Practices ethically and maintains competency with current nursing standards.
