ChristianaCare, Union Hospital in Elkton, Maryland, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to work 36 hours per week on the Night shift in the Clinical Decision unit. The typical shift is 7p–7a with weekends and holidays as required.

The role requires data collection, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, with BSN preferred and at least one year med/surg RN experience. BLS is required. Competitive pay, shift differentials, generous PTO and robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Commitment to acquiring BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
• At least one year med/surg experience as an RN.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and situation (Assessment).
• Analyzes the assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and issues (Diagnosis).
• Identifies expected outcomes and plans individualized to the patient or situation (Outcomes Identification).
• Develops and implements a plan of care to attain outcomes (Planning/Implementation).
• Safely administers medications and treatments as ordered by providers (Implementation).
• Provides nursing interventions and coordinates care delivery (Intervention/Coordination).
• Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families and team members.
