Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Utah is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator for the Enterprise Float Pool to support the department director and coordinate clinical activities across the unit.

You will serve as a vital clinical resource and role model, ensuring high-quality patient care by applying strong clinical judgment, leadership, and collaboration with the care team; the role includes directing daily shift operations and handling patient assignments.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or by endorsement.
• One year of clinical RN experience.
• RN license to practice in state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Nursing Specialty Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and coordinate plans of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Develop and implement patient plans and observe outcomes.
• Provide leadership and coordination of unit operations during shifts.
• Direct and prioritize shift activities to meet patient and staff needs.
• Ensure appropriate admissions and staff skill mix for safe care.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary care team.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our RN Clinical Coordinator Resource Float Pool, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model.

Every day you will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care delivery, act as a crucial link between physicians and the patient care team, authorize work procedures, assign duties, manage as shift charge, and actively take patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity, all while promoting patient well-being and adhering to professional standards.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with exceptional clinical skills, strong leadership potential, superior communication and collaboration abilities, and an unwavering commitment to ethical practice, quality patient care, and a supportive team environment.

• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.
• Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.

Enterprise Pool 1

• Base rate + $3.00/Hr. Pool Differential + Eligible for evening, night, and weekend differentials
• 1 facility – preferred location/closest to home

Job Requirements

Required

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or by endorsement
• One (1) year of clinical RN experience
• RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Specialty Certification
• 2 years of hospital RN experience within a specialty

Associates within the Enterprise Pool will have the opportunity to float to multiple units within one facility, a geographic group of facilities, or to all of our facilities. This pool will provide additional resources to support and supplement the workload and staffing needs across the system.

Pay Range

$34.14 - $54.46 /hour
