Job summary

Detroit Medical Center in Hamtramck, MI seeks an RN Clinical Coordinator for PreOp/PACU care to lead nursing personnel and coordinate care delivery. You will assign staff, manage schedules, and guide process improvements to support high-quality patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership, education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure staffing adequacy and efficient unit operations.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• 1–2 years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and facilitate processes.
• Promoting Excellence criteria level 6 preferred for internal candidates.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and act as a resource for nursing personnel and staff development.
• Coordinate staffing, schedule management, and staff communication.
• Monitor nurse-patient ratios and adjust schedules as needed.
• Facilitate unit throughput and reduce length of stay on shifts.
• Support policy development and department process improvements.
• Contribute to staff education and performance evaluations.
