Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Clinical Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, you will work with an interdisciplinary team to achieve expected patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering patient care under physician direction, documenting care plans, and collaborating to prioritize and communicate care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a compact state by the day of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: one year of experience in an acute care / inpatient hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician and collaborates with the care team.
• Reports and records the plan for care and patient response to care.
• Delivers nursing care consistent with policies and standards.
• Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs and discharge planning.
• Collaborates with peers to foster intra/interdepartmental communication.
• Synthesizes data to determine priorities for care and discharge needs.
• Communicates plan of care to patient/family with cultural competence and active listening.
• Promotes clinical and operational excellence through education and training for self and peers.
• Maintains a safe, clean hospital environment with infection control principles.
• Ensures competency in required skills and annual competency assessments.
