Detroit Medical Center is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator for Med Surg in Detroit, MI. This role leads nursing staff, coordinates care, assigns and schedules personnel, and evaluates patient care while supporting process improvement and staff development.

Qualifications include an RN license in Michigan, 1–2 years of leadership experience, and BLS; ACLS preferred. BSN is preferred. The position offers a sign-on bonus up to $25,000 based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• 1–2 years of progressively responsible experience with leadership ability.
• Ability to prioritize work and delegate effectively.
• Minimum Level 6 of Promoting Excellence Performance Criteria; internal candidates preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead and serve as a resource for nursing personnel; assist in planning staff meetings and development.
• Collaborate on scheduling to ensure adequate nurse-patient ratios and communicate changes.
• Facilitate shared decision making and unit throughput to improve LOS.
• Coordinate in-service programs to maintain staff competence.
• Assist manager with interviewing, retention and mentoring of staff.
• Contribute to development of department policies, procedures and standards.
• Support department Process Improvement and Peer Review.
