Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Michigan.
• 1–2 years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
• BLS required, ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as lead and resource person for nursing personnel; plan and facilitate staff meetings and staff development.
• Collaborates with manager to monitor the schedule and maintain adequate nurse-patient ratios.
• Facilitates unit throughput and improves length of stay.
• Coordinates in-service programs to maintain staff competence in patient care.
• Assists with interviewing, selection, retention, mentoring and evaluation of staff.
