Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health in Richmond is seeking a Clinical Administrator - Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise non-business hours operations, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends, and to serve as an administrative resource across departments.

This role addresses patient/family service issues, identifies system problems during off hours, supports staff problem-solving related to medical and nursing care, and works with a small team to cover shift coverage while upholding hospital

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state.
• Minimum 5 years of acute care clinical experience; minimum 2 years in nursing management.
• BSN from an accredited school; MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as administrative resource during non-business hours (evenings, nights, holidays, weekends).
• Addresses patient/family service issues related to service delivery.
• Identifies system problems during off-hours affecting care delivery.
• Provides supervisory support and problem-solving for nursing staff.
