Qualifications

About This Role

As a Clinical Adjunct Faculty Nurse at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus, you will serve as an educator in an affiliated Nursing Program while providing direct patient care. What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Monitor and document condition and effectiveness of care and/or interventions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs.
• Assess the educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
• Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate.
• Oversee nursing students as nursing clinical adjunct faculty when not providing direct patient care.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Experience:
  • 2+ years of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Current unencumbered state or multistate compact licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
