About This Role

What You'll Do

• Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing support caregivers.
• Supervise admissions, conduct assessments of patient needs, and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.
• Facilitate the planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs and initiatives.
• Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures for effective health service delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between the manager, caregivers, and other areas within the organization.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services.
• Prepare schedules of work assignments ensuring adequate coverage.
• Participate in and support quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
• Assist in orienting new caregivers.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Experience:
  • 2+ years of recent clinical nursing experience required
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred if in a Critical Care area
