Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Clinical Adjunct Faculty Nurse at our Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. This full-time, day-shift role blends nursing education with direct patient care as part of an affiliated Nursing Program.

Responsibilities include patient care, care plan implementation, and teaching nursing students. Requires BSN, 2+ years acute care RN, and active RN licensure with BLS. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 2+ years of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Current unencumbered RN license in state or compact.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
• Document condition and effectiveness of care and/or interventions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs.
• Assess educational needs of patients and significant others.
• Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate.
• Oversee nursing students as clinical adjunct faculty when not providing direct patient care.
