Qualifications

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
• Prepare patient care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plans of care to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinate a multidisciplinary approach for well-coordinated patient care.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs.
• Provide teaching and educational material.

About This Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide patient-centered care for complex cardiac cases, utilizing your skills in nursing and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
• Prepare patient care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plans of care to achieve expected outcomes.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs.
• Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate.
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
• Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be presented upon hire or within the first year of employment if in a Critical Care area.
