Job summary

The University of Washington’s Harborview Medical Center seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) to lead a busy 40-hour/week day shift clinic. You will provide expert nursing care, coordinate patient flow, and mentor staff within a multidisciplinary team. Active WA state RN license, at least 2 years in surgical and wound care with leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active WA State RN license or multi-state license required.
• Minimum of 2 years in surgical and wound care, with leadership experience.
• Outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, specialty-specific nursing care including patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, education, and outcome evaluation.
• Coordinate patient care and clinical workflows, including telephone triage, urgent care needs, transitions, and communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and adherence to nursing standards and documentation requirements.
• Develop and maintain clinical protocols, patient education materials, and workflows for timely patient access.
• Support daily clinic operations, including patient flow, staffing coordination, and coverage for unplanned absences.
