Job summary

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the 9NJB Specialty Clinics. The role focuses on General Surgery with support for other clinics, providing preoperative teaching and wound care, and assisting MDs/APPs with clinic procedures.

The position is 100% FTE, day shift, Monday through Friday, in a multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic environment. WA RN license and 2+ years of surgical nursing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active WA State RN license required by start date.
• At least 2 years in inpatient or outpatient surgical nursing.
• Wound care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve the General Surgery clinic with support for other clinics.
• Provide preoperative teaching and wound care.
• Assist physicians and APPs with in-clinic procedures.
• Care coordination and patient education.
• Discharge planning and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Phone triaging and patient intake assessments.
