Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required; education cannot be substituted.
• Active RN license or eligibility to be licensed in Alabama.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Preferred 1–2 years of nursing experience.
• Direct patient care and coordination with clinical staff.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

This position will be assigned to the Student Health Center. Under general supervision, direct patient care activities are provided to the highest licensure degree. Partners with clinical staff and providers to maintain established standards and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care. Health Informatics, Medical Records, and others to ensure patient documentation is complete, accurate, and follows all privacy/security and other regulatory requirements. Review physicians' orders for accuracy and authorization before implementing them. Prescribes and initiates nursing treatment through direct or assisted care.

• Ability to perform patient care as directed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or other qualified medical professional

Hourly Pay Range

$24.00 - $29.00

Minimum Requirements

Associate's degree in Nursing required. Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.

Preferred

• 1-2 years' experience is required.

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment required.
