Job summary

The Center for Specialized Surgery of Santa Barbara is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care on 8-hour shifts with no on-call requirements.

The ideal candidate has a California RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, and at least one year of operating room experience; orthopedics experience is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health/dental/vision, an HSA, life insurance, PTO and a 401(k) with company match.

• Current RN license in California.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum one year in the OR; scrub and circulate preferred.

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases.
• Support the surgical team during procedures and assist in postoperative recovery.

This position is 8 hour shifts, no call.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

The delivery of patient care through the framework of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis and patient outcome) in the preoperative, interoperative and postoperative phase of the surgical patient.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum one year in the OR. Ability to scrub and circulate is preferred
• Ortho experience preferred
