Job summary

La Peer Surgery Center-Beverly Hills is seeking an experienced OR nurse to provide perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases. You will circulate in the OR and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Current RN license with BLS/ACLS/PALS is required, plus a minimum of one year in the OR. Scrub experience is a plus, and multispecialty exposure is preferred in ENT, Urology, GYN, Plastics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology and

• Multispecialty experience in ENT, Urology, GYN, Plastics, Ortho, Ophthalmology and GI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases.
• Coordinate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and adherence to care plans.
• Assist with anesthesia equipment and perioperative procedures as applicable.

Job description

This position is 8 hour shifts, no call, no weekends, occasional OT.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The delivery of patient care through the framework of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis and patient outcome) in the preoperative, interoperative and postoperative phase of the surgical patient.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications
• Minimum one year in the OR. Ability to circulate is required, scrub a plus.
• Multispecialty experience preferred (ENT, Urology, GYN, Plastics, Ortho, Ophthalmology & GI experience preferred).
