About Abbott

Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses brings together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies. In this role, you will:

• Provide personalized face-to-face training to Acelis Connected Health’s home testing customers on obtaining a finger stick blood sample, operating the PT/INR products, and reporting responsibilities.
• The trainer position is per-diem and location-specific.

This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Remotely set up training appointments directly with customers or caregivers.
• Travel to customers' home settings within the general geographic location of the trainer’s residence.
• Demonstrate and instruct on the proper use and care of PT/INR equipment.
• Explain test reporting options.
• Present oneself professionally.
• Accurately document and electronically submit patient training records.
• Maintain communication with Acelis Connected Health via cell phone, email, and internet.
• Use secure encrypted email for communication involving customers’ PHI.
• Have reliable transportation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:

• Current registered nurse with clinical experience.
• Experience or exposure to anticoagulation management or homecare is preferred.
• Health education training experience is a plus.
• No lifting over 15 pounds without assistance.

COMPETENCIES/EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of educational prerequisites.
• Proof of health screening documentation.
• Web-based and interactive training provided by Acelis Connected Health.
• Successful background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Proficiency with computers and smart devices.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for websites and applications.
• Travel requirement of at least 100 miles roundtrip.
• Additional background step for Florida trainers.

The base pay for this position ranges from $22.15 to $44.35/hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary.
