Christie Clinic's Hematology-Oncology department is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy. This role offers a Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm schedule at the University clinic with no night or weekend requirements.

You will deliver professional nursing care to cancer patients, safely administer chemotherapy in our chemotherapy suite, and manage oral chemotherapy patient education and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses/CEUs.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards and directions from the provider.
• Prepare equipment and assist during treatment, examination, or testing.
• Observe, record, and report patient condition and reactions to medication or treatment.
• Serve as liaison between patient and provider regarding concerns.
• Instruct patient and family on medications, treatment instructions and education.
• Demonstrate ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.
• Administer IV chemotherapy and phlebotomy.

Christie Clinic's department of Hematology-Oncology is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy (Sign-On Bonus Available) from Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm at the University clinic, with no night or weekend requirements. You will deliver care to cancer patients and our commitment to excellence and cutting-edge treatments.Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices, safely administers chemotherapeutic agents within our chemotherapy suite, provide professional case management of oral chemotherapy patient population. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances and bodily fluids.
