Job summary

Christie Clinic's Hematology-Oncology department is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy. This role offers a Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm schedule at the University clinic with no night or weekend requirements.

You will deliver professional nursing care to cancer patients, safely administer chemotherapy in our chemotherapy suite, and manage oral chemotherapy patient education and care coordination.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses/CEUs.
Current Illinois RN license.
CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards and directions from the provider.
Prepare equipment and assist during treatment, examination, or testing.
Observe, record, and report patient condition and reactions to medication or treatment.
Serve as liaison between patient and provider regarding concerns.
Instruct patient and family on medications, treatment instructions and education.
Demonstrate ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.
Administer IV chemotherapy and phlebotomy.
