Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN licensure in state (or compact) required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing and support staff during shifts.
• Evaluate staff performance and coach to maintain high care standards.
• Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams and manage flow.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and departments; supervise handoffs.
• Monitor bed management, resource use, and cost-effective care.
• Lead infection prevention efforts and ensure safety/compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and audits.
• Ensure training needs are met and staff education is ongoing.
• Respond to emergencies within the unit and maintain reliable attendance.
