Job summary

SLP Operations is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee daily nursing operations on a designated unit in a long-term care facility. Under the Director of Nursing, you will supervise CNAs and other staff to ensure quality resident care and adherence to physician orders and standards.

You will coordinate admissions, prepare med administration, maintain documentation, and promote safety and regulatory compliance while supporting ongoing staff development and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas
• Experience supervising CNAs or nursing staff
• Ability to coordinate admissions/transfers
• Strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing and support staff; set unit priorities and schedule
• Prepare and review medical records; coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document accurately
• Promote residents' rights and safety; ensure policy compliance
• Participate in in-service training and staff orientation
